THE TRUMP-ERA CRACKDOWN ON PALESTINE SOLIDARITY (2024–)
Beginning with the campus encampment crackdown in spring 2024 and accelerating after January 2025, U.S. authorities have used immigration enforcement, visa revocation, and ICE administrative detention to remove pro-Palestinian organizers — without filing criminal charges in most cases. Mahmoud Khalil, Rumeysa Öztürk, Badar Khan Suri, Momodou Taal, Ranjani Srinivasan, and Lelo (Alfredo Juarez) are among those caught up in this campaign.
