Biography
A former Roman Catholic priest and former U.S. Army paratrooper, Dougherty was one of the nine who raided the Dow Chemical offices in Washington, D.C. on March 22, 1969, destroying files and pouring blood to protest napalm production. He was charged with malicious destruction of property and unlawful entry and sentenced along with the others. Convictions for most of the group (including seven who appealed) were reversed in 1972.
