Biography
A former Roman Catholic nun and wife of former Maryknoll priest Arthur Melville, Catherine was one of the nine who raided the Dow Chemical offices in Washington, D.C. on March 22, 1969. She was charged with malicious destruction of property and unlawful entry. Notably, she was one of only two of the nine (with Rev. Bernard Meyer) who actually served jail time before the group's convictions were largely overturned on appeal in 1972.
