Biography

Frank Johnson Private of the 24th Infantry Regiment. Private of the 24th Infantry among the soldiers who took up arms on the night of August 23, 1917. Convicted in the first "Nesbit" court-martial; hanged at sunrise December 11, 1917 at Salado Creek outside Fort Sam Houston, Texas. Conviction formally set aside by U.S. Army November 2023 (posthumous).
