On the night of May 28, 2020 after a group of citizens tore down the fence around Minneapolis MPD Third Precinct, Davon De-Andre Turner and Bryce Michael Williams worked together to light an incendiary device. Turner brought the device into the Third Precinct headquarters, where it was used to start a fire. Sentenced to 36 months federal prison and $12 million restitution (joint and several with co-defendants).
Davon DeAndre Turner is a St. Paul, Minnesota man who participated in the burning of the Minneapolis Police Department Third Precinct on May 28, 2020, during the George Floyd uprising following the police killing of George Floyd. Surveillance footage showed Turner carrying a Molotov cocktail that co-conspirator Bryce Williams lit and bringing it inside the precinct building to start or accelerate the fires. Turner pleaded guilty in January 2021 and was sentenced on May 13, 2021 to 3 years in federal prison. He was released approximately May 2024.
