Biography

One of the youngest of the fifteen (Bill Sweeney, age 19) who broke into the Chicago Selective Service office and burned roughly 40,000 draft records on May 25, 1969. He was indicted on the four federal counts.

Case

Charges: Destruction of government property, mutilation of records, interfering with the Selective Service System, and conspiracy (the May 25, 1969 Chicago draft-record burning).
Convicted: Most were convicted in June 1970.
