Biography

William Brackenridge Private of the 24th Infantry Regiment. Pvt. William Brackenridge of the 24th Infantry was among the 13 hanged at Salado Creek on December 11, 1917 after the first Houston court-martial. Executions were carried out in secret without notification of the War Department. Conviction formally set aside by U.S. Army November 2023 (posthumous).
