Biography

A Roman Catholic priest (Fr. Nick Riddell, age 39, the oldest of the group), he was one of the fifteen who burned Chicago draft records on May 25, 1969. He was indicted on the four federal counts and was among the ten convicted in June 1970; sentences for the group ran up to two years.

Charges: Destruction of government property, mutilation of records, interfering with the Selective Service System, and conspiracy (the May 25, 1969 Chicago draft-record burning).
