Biography

Minneapolis Teamster who served as one of Leon Trotsky's bodyguards at Coyoacán, Mexico for four months in 1940. Participant in 1934 Minneapolis Teamsters Strike. Following 16-month Smith Act sentence, lifelong Trotskyist; when Jack Barnes's SWP leadership abandoned Trotskyism in the 1980s, Cooper joined the expelled faction that formed Socialist Action.
