Biography

A former Army Special Forces (Green Beret) reservist who, wearing his uniform, burned his draft card at the April 15, 1967 Spring Mobilization 'burn-in' in the Sheep Meadow of Central Park, New York City. He was arrested by FBI agents days later at his home in Evanston, Illinois, and was reportedly the only person charged with a federal crime out of that rally. He later helped found the Chicago Area Draft Resisters (CADRE).
