Biography
Donna Jean Willmott is most often documented as a long-term fugitive associated by federal authorities with Puerto Rican independence-related militancy, and as part of a couple listed on the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted in the 1980s. Reporting at the time of her capture described her and Claude Marks as wanted for years in connection with an alleged conspiracy tied to efforts to free Puerto Rican nationalist prisoners, including a breakout plot involving Oscar López Rivera.
Willmott and Marks surrendered to federal authorities in Chicago on December 7, 1994, after years as fugitives, and were ordered held without bail shortly afterward, according to contemporaneous newspaper coverage.
