Biography
Adolfo Matos was arrested on April 4, 1980 at the FALN safe-house operation in Evanston, Illinois. He refused to recognize U.S. jurisdiction and was convicted of seditious conspiracy and weapons offenses, receiving a 70-year sentence. After 19 years his sentence was commuted by Clinton on August 11, 1999 and he was released the following month; he returned to Puerto Rico.
