Biography
David Elmakayes was charged in connection with a series of ATM bombings that occurred in Philadelphia during the unrest of June 2020. Authorities alleged that he used an explosive device to severely damage an ATM in North Philadelphia and was arrested shortly afterward while carrying additional explosives and a firearm.
He was later convicted and sentenced in June 2022 to 15 years in federal prison for using an explosive device to damage property and for illegal possession of a firearm.
