Biography
Thomas Holmes, an eighteen-year-old Young Communist League district organizer at Chester, was arrested in January 1930 for leafleting the unemployed and convicted of "sedition" under Pennsylvania's Flynn Act at Media on 2 April 1930, drawing a maximum of three years in the State Industrial Reformatory at Huntingdon. Holmes was described as the only political prisoner in the Huntingdon reformatory.
