Biography
Sam Hirsch was a former director of Miami Beach's Biltmore Playhouse indicted on eight counts of perjury in 1955 for denying Communist Party membership before a grand jury in State Attorney George Brautigam's Florida red-hunt. The state's sole witness against him had a long record of drunkenness convictions.
