Biography
Meredith Lowell, age 35, was charged in 2019 with attempted murder, two counts felonious assault, and aggravated burglary for stabbing a woman in a Cleveland Heights church because she was wearing fur boots (the boots were synthetic). Found not guilty by reason of insanity; the defense established autism-spectrum-disorder grounds. She had been previously charged in 2012 with attempting to hire a hitman to kill someone for wearing fur.
