Biography

John Anthony Robles II is an indigenous Taino, anti-racist activist and journalist from Puerto Rico. In 1995 Robles work to expose public fraud in Yolo County California led to a local prosecutor forming a Grand Jury to determine if information he had found would be enough to bring about charges against local officials implicated in corruption. On the day he was scheduled to testify Robles was detained by law enforcement who accused him of working for the KGB due to his background of majoring in Russian language studies in college. Robles then fled the United States and relocated to Russia where he was granted political asylum. The United States has since revoked Robles passport and claim he is currently wanted for failure to pay child support despite him having full custody of his children and having never been issued a child support payment judgement.
