Biography
Peter Young is an animal rights activist and the first person convicted of Animal Enterprise Terrorism. His charges relate to fur farm raids in Iowa, South Dakota, and Wisconsin in 1997. He was in hiding for seven years before being arrested in San Jose and later serving two years in prison. As a vegan, he wrote extensively of his struggle with hunger and access to food while incarcerated.
After serving his sentence, Young has continued to advocate for animal rights as a vocal supporter of the Animal Liberation Front.
