Jesse James Smallwood, 21, was indicted in Gainesville, GA in June 2020 with co-defendants Delveccho Waller Jr., Bruce Thompson, Judah Coleman Bailey, and Dashun Martin for conspiring to commit and committing arson of a police car after a protest sparked by George Floyd's death. The defendants allegedly sought out and burned the police vehicle using the protests as cover. Sentenced to 21 months federal prison plus 3 years supervised release and $3,678.17 restitution.
