Biography

A. F. Shubin was one of the six Molokan absolutists from Glendale, Arizona who refused the WWI draft. Court-martialed via Fort Huachuca and Fort Riley, he was imprisoned at Fort Leavenworth on a fifteen-year sentence and amnestied by President Wilson in April 1919.
