Biography

Tom Quinn was an officer of UE Local 601 in Pittsburgh who was prosecuted for contempt of Congress after refusing to answer the House Un-American Activities Committee. He was fined and given a jail term in 1951, which he appealed, in one of a wave of contempt cases against UE leaders who would not name names.
