Biography

Richard Frank Parker was a white Florida State University student and the only white participant in the Negro lunch-counter sit-ins in Jacksonville, Florida. Jailed on a vagrancy charge for a 90-day term, he had his jaw broken by a segregationist while in custody; he was freed after serving 60 days following nationwide protest.
