Biography

Barbara Broxton was a 20-year-old Florida A&M student arrested in the Tallahassee lunch-counter sit-ins on Feb. 20, 1960. She served 48 days in jail, choosing imprisonment over a fine in the CORE-led 'jail-no-bail' protest against segregation.
