Biography
Paul Kassay was a mechanic at the Goodyear Zeppelin works in Akron, Ohio — then building the dirigible Akron — who was arrested in March 1931 on a Department of Justice agent's word and charged under the Ohio criminal-syndicalism law with sabotaging the airship by "spitting on the rivets." Held on $40,000 bail, he was acquitted, and the court declared the Ohio criminal-syndicalism law unconstitutional.
