Biography

Chairman of the Columbia University chapter of Students for a Democratic Society who led the 1968 occupation of Columbia. He helped found the Weather Underground in 1969 and went underground after the March 1970 Greenwich Village townhouse explosion. He surfaced in 1977 and pleaded guilty to misdemeanor charges, receiving a fine and probation; he later taught math at a community college in New Mexico.
