Biography
Born in Philadelphia; SDS New York regional organizer and national interim committee member. June 1969 signer of "You Don't Need a Weatherman" manifesto. Went underground 1970 with Eleanor Stein (later his wife); remained a fugitive eleven years in California and the Catskills. October 22, 1981 FBI agents arrested him in his Bronx apartment during lawyer-mediated surrender. Federal charges largely dropped due to COINTELPRO illegality. Later became a New York environmental lobbyist.
