Biography

Leonard Farmer was an active National Miners' Union member, a National Miners' Union member, arrested for the Christmas Day 1931 shooting of Deputy Sheriff Virgil Sizemore while distributing leaflets calling a general strike, and charged with murder in the Harlan–Bell County, Kentucky coal war.
