Lawrence Walker was a Black former Air Force sergeant convicted of a double murder near Riverside, California and sentenced to life at San Quentin, in a case the Civil Rights Congress and the National Guardian publicized as a racial frame-up of an innocent man tried in a Jim Crow atmosphere.
