Biography

Koji Ariyoshi was the editor of the Honolulu Record, a progressive labor weekly, and a World War II veteran who had served with the U.S. mission to the Chinese Communists. He was one of the 'Hawaii Seven' arrested under the Smith Act in 1951; convicted in 1953, his conviction was reversed after Yates.
