Biography
Irvin C. Leichty was a Mennonite conscientious objector from Ohio imprisoned during World War I. Court-martialed for refusing military service, he was held at Fort Leavenworth. (Documented in the Swarthmore College Peace Collection's World War I Conscientious Objectors database.) Archival note: upon release from Leavenworth, was sent to Ft. Dodge; lived in Orrville, Ohio at the time of the survey in the 1950s
