Biography
Herman Liveright was a former New Orleans television programmer (WDSU) cited and then indicted for contempt of Congress in 1956 for declining, on grounds other than the Fifth Amendment, to tell the Senate Internal Security Subcommittee whether he had ever been a Communist.
