Biography
Philadelphia industrial chemist who began passing Soviet intelligence economic and chemical secrets in 1934. As courier "Raymond" he received atomic-weapons data from Klaus Fuchs and David Greenglass during 1944-45. Arrested May 22, 1950 after Fuchs identified him from a photo; pled guilty. Sentenced to 30 years December 9, 1950 by Judge James P. McGranery. Served at USP Lewisburg; paroled May 18, 1966.
