Biography

Giovanni De Cecca Italian-American Bible Student responsible for foreign-language distribution of Watch Tower literature; the eighth defendant in the 1918 Rutherford 8 Espionage Act prosecution. Convicted June 20, 1918; received 10-year sentence — the lightest of the group. Served at U.S. Penitentiary Atlanta until March 1919 bail release; convictions reversed on appeal 1919.
