Biography

Fred Suttle received a five- to ten-year prison sentence for violating the state's criminal syndicalism law because he belonged to the IWW. While in prison Suttle suffered a mental breakdown and was transferred from Walla Walla Prison to the state hospital for the insane. He was released after nearly seven years in prison on September 24, 1928.
