Biography

Frank Prego was a Spanish-born ship's stoker and organizer for the IWW's Marine Transport Workers. Arrested during a 1913 United Fruit Company strike in New Orleans, he was convicted of illegal possession of weapons and sentenced to twelve years; he was released and deported to Spain in 1918.
