Biography
Diamond Kimm was a Korean-born printer and editor of the newspaper Korean Independence, a U.S. resident since 1928 and an outspoken opponent of the U.S.-backed Syngman Rhee regime. In 1959 the Ninth Circuit affirmed an order deporting him to South Korea — where, his supporters warned, he faced death — and the Supreme Court agreed to review the case.
