Biography
Alejandro Avalos, 28, was charged with depredation against U.S. property after a May 30, 2020 demonstration in Las Vegas, NV decrying George Floyd's death. As the night progressed protesters faced off against officers; some vandalized buildings and threw bottles, fireworks, and rocks; others gathered at the federal building and threw items to gain entry. A federal security guard was threatened. Sentenced to 21 months federal prison plus 2 years supervised release and $71,335.72 restitution.
