Biography
Jeanette Wallace, 24, was charged with depredation against U.S. property after the May 30, 2020 protest in Las Vegas, NV (initially decrying George Floyd's death) turned tense. Some demonstrators vandalized buildings and threw bottles, fireworks, and rocks at officers in riot gear; later some gathered at the federal building, kicking and throwing items to gain entry. A federal security guard was threatened. Damage exceeded $70,000. Wallace was identified via facial recognition and Facebook. Sentenced to 36 months federal prison.
