Biography
Willie Brown was a sixteen-year-old Black youth of Philadelphia sentenced to the electric chair on 13 May 1932 by Judge McDevitt for the murder of a white girl, Dorothy Lutz — a conviction the ILD fought as a frame-up built on a beaten-out confession with no evidence.
