Biography

Taraknath Das was an Indian revolutionary and Ghadar Party organizer in the United States, connected to IWW and radical circles on the West Coast. He was convicted in the 1917–18 Hindu–German Conspiracy trial in San Francisco under the Espionage Act and imprisoned at Leavenworth before going on to a long academic career.
