Biography
Silas Saylor, an ordained preacher of the Pentecostal Church from Beverly, Kentucky, was convicted because he told his congregation that he was "personally... dedicated... to the service of the Lord... and therefore cannot kill." He was sentenced to three years in prison and served in Atlanta Penitentiary. He had a wife and seven children.
