Biography

C. H. Rice, a lumberjack from Owenton, Kentucky, was convicted at the mass IWW trial in Chicago, sentenced to ten years in prison and fined $30,000. He served in the Cook County Jail and Leavenworth Penitentiary from January 1918 to April 1918 and from September 1918 until his parole on July 21, 1922.
