Biography

Robert Zellner was a SNCC field secretary — the only white participant in the Oct. 4, 1961 McComb, Mississippi student demonstration — who was beaten by a mob on the courthouse steps, jailed two days, and charged with breach of the peace and contributing to the delinquency of minors.
