Biography
Raymond B. Randolph Jr. was a twenty-one-year-old Virginia Union University student arrested in Jackson, Mississippi on June 7, 1961 as a Freedom Rider; he had already been arrested during a 1960 sit-in in Richmond, Virginia. His birth year, about 1940, is derived from his reported age at arrest. The Civil Rights Digital Library holds his named arrest photograph but does not establish his disposition or release, so those fields are unresolved.
