Biography
Raissa Browder was the Russian-born wife of former Communist leader Earl Browder, arrested with him in Yonkers, New York on September 30, 1952 during the McCarthy era. She was charged with perjury concerning her naturalization and jailed when bail was refused after she declined to cooperate.
