Biography

Mike Kulikoff was an eighteen-year-old Portland high-school student and Young Communist League member who, after his deportation to the USSR was blocked, was committed to the Salem, Oregon insane asylum on the theory that his radical activity was "a manifestation of an unsound mind." He was paroled after a protest campaign.
