Biography
A nurse-midwife and antiwar activist, Moylan was one of two women in the Catonsville Nine. She participated in the May 1968 raid and burning of draft files in Catonsville, Maryland, and was arrested, convicted, and sentenced to two years in prison for the action.
Rather than report to begin her sentence, Moylan went underground for years. She ultimately surrendered in Baltimore in June 1979 and served about a year at the women’s prison in Alderson, West Virginia, before returning to nursing and community health work.
