Biography
Martha Hennessy is an anti-war activist who was sentenced to 10 months in prison for her work as part of the Kings Bay Plowshares 7, Catholic peace activists who broke into the Kings Bay Naval Submarine Base in Camden, Georgia on April 4, 2018 and carried out a symbolic act of protest against nuclear weapons. Hennessy is an outspoken opponent of nuclear power, war, the use of drones, the torture of prisoners in Guantanamo and other prisons, and the use of starvation as a weapon of war in Yemen. She was released in 2021.
