Biography
Lawrence Gore was a Textile Workers Union organizer convicted in August 1959 in the Henderson, North Carolina strike case — the prosecution of union men for an alleged conspiracy to dynamite the struck Harriet-Henderson cotton mills. The union condemned the case as a frame-up built on the testimony of a paid informer. He was sentenced to six to ten years.
