Biography
Charles Auslander was a Textile Workers Union organizer convicted with Boyd Payton and Lawrence Gore in the Henderson, North Carolina strike case (1959), charged with conspiracy to dynamite the struck mills. At sentencing the judge pointed to his being an outsider — 'the union sent you' — underscoring the union's charge that the case was an anti-labor frame-up. He drew six to ten years.
